Image Compression Using the Wavelet Transform
Urbánek, Pavel ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on subject of image compression using wavelet transform. The first part of this document provides reader with information about image compression, presents well known contemporary algorithms and looks into details of wavelet compression and following encoding schemes. Both JPEG and JPEG 2000 standards are introduced. Second part of this document analyzes and describes implementation of image compression tool including inovations and optimalizations. The third part is dedicated to comparison and evaluation of achievements.
Technical Analysis
Loub, Matěj ; Michlovský, Zbyněk (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
The main goal of the thesis "Technical analysis" is to analyze the issue of technical analysis itself, more specifically the CAMP model, which deals with optimizing the portfolio, then design a program to calculate it (generate the required results). This analysis corresponds to the structure of the thesis, while in the beginning of the work are mentioned an important theoretical basis. There is described the financial system, financial and capital markets in connection to the Burza cenných papírů Praha, a.s. and other major capital markets. In addition, I discuss the methodology of technical analysis, CAMP model and the source code and the description of Visual Basic. Then I use this methodology in practice and focus on the goal of the work. Finally I analyze the options, benefits as well as weaknesses of the CAMP model and my program in the Czech capital market conditions.
INFLUENCE OF BOUNDARY CONDITIONS ON HIGHER ORDER TERMS OF NEAR-CRACK-TIP STRESS FIELD IN A WST SPECIMEN
Veselý, V. ; Šestáková, L. ; Seitl, Stanislav
A precise description of the stress and deformation fields in a cracked body is provided using multi-parameter fracture mechanics based on the approximation of the fields by means of the Williams' power series. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the stress field in a wedge-splitting test geometry specimen aimed at the calculation of coefficients of the higher order terms (up to 14) of the Williams' expansion. The numerical study is conducted with the use of a conventional finite element package; however, for processing of the results an over-deterministic method is employed. Special attention is paid to the influence of boundary conditions of the test geometry on the values of the coefficients of the higher order terms of the Williams' series. The results are compared to data from the literature; a strong effect of the boundary conditions is observed.
Creating Calculation System of Indirect Cost in the Company and Evaluation According to Informative Ability of Financial Statements
KOHOUTOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this thesis is to create a calculation system of indirect costs in the commercial company. This calculation could be used in the accounting system of the company and thanks to that would be indirect cost divided automatically into individual items of goods. The calculation system is based on particular coefficients which are assigned in individual types of costs. New created system is tested on the specific sample of goods from the company. It is good to see weaknesses and deficiencies in suggested calculation. Conclusions from this analyse are specific values of profitability ratio Return on sales in every goods. The management of the company has to decide whether to revalue their goods or not. The decision is connected also with margin groups, in group A (which includes main goods) they could afford to move with selling prices. This prediction is based on outcome from competition analysis.
